Pool Maintenance for Tuscan Villas
In a Tuscan villa the pool is the first reason a guest chose that house over another. It is also the system that breaks down most often and the only one that, when it fails, ruins the stay.
- Weekly checks in season, with extra visits during fully booked weeks
- Testing and correcting the water’s chemical values
- Cleaning of floor, walls, skimmers and baskets
- Checking and servicing pump, filter and treatment system
- Season opening and winter shutdown
- Emergency callouts if something fails mid-stay
Cloudy water on the first day of a stay is worth a bad review that then weighs on the price of every later booking. It is the clearest case where preventive maintenance costs less than the damage it avoids.
Frequently asked questions
How often should a rental property’s pool be checked?
At least weekly in high season, and more often when the house is continuously occupied: more swimmers means faster product consumption and values that shift within days. Off season the visits become less frequent but do not stop.
Is pool maintenance included in management?
It depends on the agreed package. It can be part of full management or activated as a standalone service for owners who handle bookings themselves.
What happens if the pump fails with guests in the house?
We attend the same day where possible. Tripcare works with people on the ground rather than suppliers called in from a distance — which is why we keep a physical presence in every area we cover.
