Luxury villas for rent in Pisa and its countryside
Pisa is far more than its Tower: Piazza dei Miracoli is merely the gateway to a province few really know — the olive-covered slopes of the Monti Pisani, the villages of the Valdera, Lucca’s walls half an hour away, the seaside of the San Rossore park and the Etruscan Coast just to the south. This is Tuscany without the crowds: authentic landscapes, restaurants full of locals, gentler prices. And with Galileo Galilei international airport at hand, it is also the region’s most convenient base: you land, and half an hour later you are in the pool.
What the houses here are like
Between Pisa, the Monti Pisani and the countryside towards Lucca, the offering is stone farmhouses among olive groves and country villas with pools and generous space: houses made for families and groups, with the rare advantage of art cities, the sea and the airport all within half an hour. The quality-to-price ratio is among Tuscany’s best.
Book with the people who manage the houses directly
Direct management, real availability and a team covering western Tuscany: Tripcare prepares the villa before you arrive and remains your single point of contact throughout. The concierge arranges visits to Pisa and Lucca, days at the sea, hillside tastings and airport transfers — which here take minutes, not hours.
Airports, trains and roads
Pisa’s Galileo Galilei airport — Tuscany’s main hub — is 20–35 minutes from the villas, with direct connections across Europe. Pisa Centrale is the rail junction for Florence (one hour), Lucca and the coast. A car is still recommended to enjoy the countryside, but arrival logistics are the simplest in the region.

What guests ask us
Why choose Pisa as a Tuscan base?
Logistics and value. You land at the region’s main airport and reach the villa in half an hour; Lucca, the sea and Florence are all within day-trip range; and villa for villa, the area often gives you more space and more amenities than the more famous zones.
What is there beyond the Leaning Tower?
Plenty: Lucca’s Renaissance walls to cycle, the villages of the Valdera and its wine hills, Volterra and San Gimignano an hour away, the wild beaches of San Rossore park and the Etruscan Coast. The concierge builds tailor-made day itineraries.
Is the area good for families?
One of the best: short distances, villas with gardens and fence-ready pools, sandy beaches half an hour away, and cities you can visit in half a day without exhausting the children. On request we prepare the villa with cots, high chairs and bed rails already in place on arrival.
How far is the sea from the villas?
From the Pisan countryside the coast is 25–40 minutes away: Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia for the nearest beach day, Versilia to the north and the Etruscan Coast to the south for beaches and clubs of every style. The exact distance is stated on each villa page.
