Airports, trains and roads
Florence-Peretola airport is 20–30 minutes from the villas; Pisa about an hour. Santa Maria Novella station links Florence by high-speed rail to Rome (1h35) and Milan (1h50). For the city itself, taxis or transfers work best — the ZTL discourages driving — while for day trips a car remains the right choice; we can arrange chauffeured cars for both.

A hillside villa or a city-centre apartment in Florence?
It depends on how you like to travel. The villa offers what the centre cannot: silence, a garden, a pool, space for families or groups — with the city still 20–30 minutes away. If the goal is living Florence on foot day and night, the centre wins; for everything else, the hills.
How far is the villa from central Florence?
Our villas sit in the first ring of hills — Fiesole, Impruneta, Bagno a Ripoli and around — between 15 and 30 minutes by car from the historic centre. Each villa page states the exact distance; the concierge arranges transfers or taxis for evenings in town.
Can I skip the queues at the Uffizi and Accademia?
Yes: our concierge books timed entries and private guided visits for the Uffizi, the Accademia (the David), Palazzo Pitti and the smaller museums — often more surprising than the big names. In peak season, request them together with your villa confirmation.
Does the area suit a longer stay?
Very much so. Well-served hills, the city within reach, language and cooking schools, golf and tennis at historic clubs: the Florentine hills are the ideal base for stays of weeks or months. For long periods we prepare a dedicated offer with weekly services included.
