Managing villas with a pool in Tuscany
Tripcare manages pool villas across Tuscany: seasonal opening and closing, water treatment twice a week in season, compliant registers and safety, technical call-outs within the day. The pool is the reason a villa gets booked — and the first thing a guest photographs when something is wrong.
A neglected pool shows immediately: cloudy water, slippery edges, a robot stopped mid-basin. And it is the single heaviest line in summer reviews. Serious management is a calendar, not an emergency: regular testing and dosing, pump and filter checks before the heat peaks, the right cover and chemistry at season’s end so the April reopening is not a building site.
At changeover the pool joins the same checklist as cleaning and linen: sunbeds in order, pool towels counted, the outdoor shower working. And when a guest reports a problem on a Saturday afternoon, the technician who arrives already knows that basin — because he follows it all year, not because he found it on a map.

Frequently asked questions
How often is the pool checked during the season?
In season, visits are scheduled several times a week and intensify at occupancy and heat peaks; every intervention is logged, so you always know what was done and when. Off season the basin is not abandoned: proper closing, periodic checks and a planned reopening.
Is pool maintenance included in the management fee or charged separately?
It is a dedicated service added to the base management and set out in writing in the proposal, with frequencies and separate line items. Hard costs — chemicals, spare parts — are re-invoiced at cost, without mark-ups, and appear in the monthly statement.
What happens if the pool breaks down while guests are at the villa?
The report reaches our team, not the owner on holiday: the technician who follows that basin intervenes as fast as possible and guests are updated directly. The owner finds the event and any cost documented in the statement, not an emergency phone call.
