Estate Fiesolana

The Estate Fiesolana is one of Italy’s oldest summer festivals, founded in 1947: concerts, theatre, dance and cinema in the Roman Theatre of Fiesole, a first-century BC cavea with Florence lighting up below. Evenings begin at sunset, the programme runs from mid-June to August and seats are limited by the size of the theatre.
For the villas of Fiesole and the hills north of Florence it is the perfect evening ten minutes from home: guests go down to Florence by day and up to the theatre after dinner. The concierge books tickets as soon as the programme is out and arranges the return on foot or with a driver, because parking in Fiesole on performance nights is limited.
